Love is All You Need!

This New Moon is at 3 degrees of Virgo. The Sabian Symbol for this degree of the zodiac is “Two Guardian Angels.” We are reminded of our connection to the Cosmos and that we are never alone. We have invisible guides & helpers that are always with us. This is a reminder to call on them.
Virgo is the sign of the Virgin. The real meaning of the word virgin is “one who is whole and complete unto oneself.” Virgo asks us to become whole and complete unto ourselves again. To do this Virgo requests that we humble our egos in the presence of our Divinity. We can always improve but to not get caught in the Virgo shadow of crippling self-criticism.
Virgo is an earth sign of service that teaches us the “Zen of work.” It brings an understanding there is no difference between the sacred & the mundane. All acts done with mindfulness are sacred, whether we are washing dishes or praying. To be mindful means to be living in the present moment, in the Now. Truly, there is no other reality except the present moment. When we are living in the past, depression is created. When we live in the future, we create anxiety, worry and nervousness. Only in the present moment can we be our true Selves, which is Love.
Virgo is ruled by Mercury, representing the mind. The mind is a wonderful instrument to be used for understanding our world but it is not your true Self. We live in a world where we have come to believe we are our minds. This is a delusion. Identification with the mind creates the illusion of separateness as it defines and judges our world. Incessant mental noise prevents you from finding the realm of inner stillness that is inseparable from Being. When you turn off your mind you can experience your true nature and come again into wholeness, into Divine Love.
There is another dynamic & challenging pattern at this New Moon that is showing the way to wholeness. Venus in Leo is square a conjunction of Mars & Saturn in Scorpio. It speaks of emotional drama and old patterns that feed the illusion of separation. It is a time when charged emotions may come to the surface, others mirroring back to you what needs to be healed & released within yourself. It may bring up issues of attachment & obsession, losing yourself in the process of trying to find fulfillment outside of yourself.
You cannot find wholeness if you have lost yourself. Turn off your mind, which then quiets the emotions and find yourself again in the inner stillness of Being. Be your inner witness that can gain objectivity and bring you back into Love. When you are your true Self, the embodiment of Love, it radiates out and touches the deep Self of others, creating Divine Connection.
Love is a state of Being. It is not outside you; it is deep within you. In the stillness of your presence you can feel it because it is you. The planet Neptune opposes this New Moon, reminding us that we are part of a larger whole, that we are all One. Each of us are trying find our way back to wholeness, which is the Divine Love that resides in each of us and the Unity Consciousness that is the Universe.
