Divine Dreams! Pisces New Moon

Pisces New Moon, March 6, 2019 at 8:05 am PST

This New Moon at 16 degrees of Pisces finds us knee deep in water, especially across the continental United States. Here in northern California we have had devastating floods and in the Sierras, there is almost 35 feet of snow. Across the country there have been storms with rain, ice and snow, water in all her many forms. The Sun, Moon and Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, are all tightly conjunct in Pisces at this New Moon. Water represents our emotional connections with each other.  In times like these the water is reminding us how much we need each other. After the flood our local river community has come together to help each other recover from the damage. In the alchemical process, the fire (crises) is tempered with water (emotional connection).  It is through water, our heart connections, that we come together to survive the crises in our lives that often bring personal growth.

Neptune is also called the Great Cosmic Sea where we are all one or Unity Consciousness. Neptune symbolizes the Divine Heart of the Unconditional Love of the Universe.  Gregg Braden has a series on Gaia TV called “Missing Links” wherein he discusses many aspects of science and spirituality and where they intersect. In one episode he shares the science of the “Divine Matrix” which is the field of energy that we live in, some call it “The Field.” He then asked a group of Buddhist monks what they believe “The Field” is made of and after some thought, they responded “Compassion.” According to these monks, we are swimming in a sea of compassion which some say is the highest form of love. The primary teaching of Neptune is compassion for all beings, especially ourselves.

This New Moon guides us to do the deep inner work necessary to align with the heart of the Universe which is compassion. It takes quiet time in the present moment to access the truth that lies within our hearts. Take time to meditate, walk in nature and especially take time to visit any large bodies of water near you whether it be a lake, river or ocean. This month the water is calling us to tune out the outer world and listen to our hearts. Neptune in Pisces also takes us into the world of the invisible, what lies beyond the veil. We are beckoned to enter other realms, either through our dreams, trance journeys or ceremonies. The key is to trust information received.  Neptune also works with synchronicities, so pay close attention. The Universe is leaving a trail of breadcrumbs to follow.

The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon is “In A Quiet Moment, A Creative Individual Experiences The Flow Of Inspiration.” What a powerful and apt vision for this New Moon. Neptune symbolizes divine inspiration, that moment when we get out of the way and let the Divine come through. That is how all great works of art are created.  We are creating a work of art in our vision for ourselves and our world. It is a time of great creativity, personally and collectively. Doors are opening for each of us, it only requires that we use our imagination to create what we want.

Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Sagittarius are in a square aspect for the rest of the year. As they dance together, we are being asked to release skepticism and believe that the impossible can happen, for Spirit moves in mysterious ways. We only limit what is possible by our lack of imagination or faith.  This is a time when we can set our dreams in motion and have them come true if they are in alignment with our destiny.   “Don’t downgrade your dream to match your reality, upgrade your faith to match your destiny.” Author Unknown

Jupiter brings many gifts and opens doors. The door to our hearts will have the potential to open in ways that may have been closed before allowing us to feel compassion for all beings as well as ourselves.  Compassion is opening our hearts to all that is, both the love and the suffering of the world. Water is also our tears which allow us to feel, cry and let go.  As we cry, there is a cleansing of the emotional body. When we open our hearts, they may be so sensitive to the  suffering of the world, that we may try to escape through drugs, alcohol, shopping, food, social media or the many ways we can numb ourselves. The world can be very hard for a sensitive heart, still it is important to keep our hearts open if anything is to change.

Jupiter enlarges anything it touches so in aspect to Neptune it can bring ecstatic states of expanded consciousness and bliss.  Neptune is the planet associated with mystical experiences and dissolution of the ego, allowing us to merge with something greater than ourselves.  Jupiter can also enlarge the shadow of Neptune which is illusion, deceit, self-delusion and fantasy. We are living in a time when it is hard to tell truth from lies in the outer world (fake news) as well as within ourselves. It is so easy to delude ourselves into believing what we want. Our hearts always know the truth and as Rumi says, “That which is false troubles the heart, but truth brings joyous tranquility.”

Uranus moves into Taurus for the next seven years the day of the New Moon. Taurus is the sign most connected to Mother Earth. Uranus brings sudden awakenings and an awareness of our inner Divinity. At this very spiritual and mystical New Moon, Uranus brings us the awareness of the Divinity of our own bodies and Mother Earth for example, Lake Erie was given status as personhood by the city of Toledo just this week. During the next seven years we will learn on much deeper levels what an embodied spirituality looks like as our energy channels open more fully and we are able to use more of our innate psychic skills. Indigenous prophesies, as well as many other New Age teachers, say that Mother Earth is moving into higher dimensions now and that we are moving with her. We must be in right alignment with Mother Earth as she is moving and shaking. This New Moon shows us how to move into higher dimensions while being grounded and anchored in our bodies. We can expect more extreme Earth changes with Uranus moving into Taurus.

Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn are sextile this New Moon. They will help to keep us grounded and real. Saturn teaches us to hold true to our core values, principles, and to act with integrity. Pluto takes us deep into the psyche to do soul healing so we can bring to awareness what lies in the unconscious. The South Node of the Moon in the sign of  Capricorn is conjunct Pluto. The South Node represents our past, this life time and others. Those doors to the past are swinging open and old memories may bubble up. What may show up are old hurts where we have not forgiven ourselves; that old baggage that we carry around with us. It is important that these memories come up because they are attached to old emotions which need to be cleared.  Pluto in Capricorn is practical and says this old stuff just really doesn’t serve us anymore, it is time to let it go. We did the best we could at the time. Let the old guilt, shame, anger, etc., GO! When we can let it go, we are practicing radical self-forgiveness.

As we move into higher dimensions with Mother Earth, we can’t take our baggage with us. Compassion and radical self-forgiveness is self-love which allows us to walk in the world as love and be in alignment with Mother Earth. The Indigenous prophesies say that as we move into higher dimensions, we will return to the original way of being which is that of harmony, peace and love, a place of well-being. I know this may sound crazy in the midst of all that is going on in the world, but new worlds are born out of chaos. We can create the new in the shell of the old and to do that we must have a vision. We need to dream it before we can create it.  Indigenous elders say we need to dream a new world into being and now is the time. The possibilities we dream will become the reality as we remember that we are love.

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” ― Rumi
