Full Moon in Cancer, Jan 4, 2015 at 8:54 pm PST
Are you feeling it? This Full Moon at 15 degrees of Cancer, is activating the deepest recesses of our emotions. All of the places where we don’t yet love ourselves is coming to the surface, often in our interactions with others. This Full Moon is conjunct the bright blue star, Sirius. This is a stargate, or gateway of consciousness to other dimensions. This gateway is accessed through the heart, through our emotions. We are being given an opportunity to raise our vibration and pass through a Cosmic doorway of remembering our true nature of Unconditional Love, our true state of being.
Cancer is the sign most closely related to the Moon and issues related to nurturance & happiness. The biggest lessons are around self-love; being able to love & accept ourselves as we are. We are all messy and crazy on some level, flawed and fabulous, participating in the process of growth, making mistakes as we go. Remembering to be kind to ourselves allows us to be kind to others and love them in their flawed states.
The Sun is in Capricorn, opposite the Full Moon in Cancer & tightly conjunct Pluto, God of the Underworld. So as we love ourselves deeply we are also being asked to grow in emotional maturity. At this time heightened emotions, deep wounds within ourselves may be triggered. The light of awareness is shining on our shadow places, allowing release through emotional channels. Allow yourself to feel the emotion, let it pass through but own it as yours. Also, you are not responsible for how another feels, although you may trigger a sensitive area. It is each person’s responsibility to own their own feelings. We are being given an opportunity to heal through clearing our emotional channels by releasing old patterns & stories.
Uranus, the planet of breakthrough & awakening, is in a square, an aspect of dynamic action, to this Full Moon. Breakthrough in the shadow of the Cancer/ Capricorn axis around comfort & security is possible. Uranus asks how much are you sacrificing at the altar of comfort & security? Are you pretending to be happy to avoid changes that need to happen to be truly alive? Do you love yourself enough to claim what you really want? Real security only comes from within, there is nothing or no one outside of yourself that will ever create real security. It comes from a deep love of self and trust in Creator that this is a beneficent Universe of which we are each an integral part.
The nodes of the Moon are also involved in this Full Moon which indicates a turning point in the destiny of Mother Earth & all her children, everyone will be affected by this Full Moon & the choices we make. On a planetary level, many are making choices based on fears around comfort & security not on love and trust. But when we love ourselves and trust in Creator, we can then truly love each other and make choices that benefit all. We are being given an opportunity to remember we are each a face of God and to awaken to our true state of being, Unconditional Love.
