A New Vision-Sagittarius New Moon

Sagittarius New Moon, Dec.17, 2017 at 10:32 pm PST

The inner light within each of us is the light that sustains us in this darkest time of the year now in the northern hemisphere. This is the time of Sagittarius, a sign of hope, faith and belief that the outer light will return and with it, a new vision for the future. It is the symbol of the archer, shooting his arrow of light and truth with perfect aim into that vision. This New Moon occurs at Sagittarius 27 degrees which conjuncts the Galactic Center, the massive black hole around which the Milky Way revolves. It is a vortex of continuous implosion and expansion, destruction and creation which opens us up to the creative power of the Universe. This Sagittarius New Moon allows for powerful cosmic transmissions and is a blast of Cosmic Love and guidance. The Galactic Center is a stargate or portal into other dimensions to open and expand our consciousness.

There are five planets in Sagittarius at this New Moon including the Sun, Moon, Saturn, Venus, and Mercury. Mercury is retrograde now indicating it is time to rethink and re-evaluate beliefs and our vision for the future. There are things we don’t yet know but which may come to light as Mercury transits the Galactic Center three times in his retrograde journey. Be open to all new insights, perceptions and ideas that may enter your consciousness now.

The Sabian Symbol for the Galactic Center at Sagittarius 27 degrees is, “The Sculptors Vision Is Slowly but Surely Taking Form.” This certainly speaks to Saturn conjuncting this New Moon. I believe this tells us that the new vision is forming but to proceed slowly and carefully, paying attention to detail. As one sculpts, everything that does not belong to the vision is chiseled away so the true form can be created.  What is no longer part of our vision may need to be chiseled away as well.

Saturn is at 29 degrees of Sagittarius, the last degree which encapsulates the powerful teaching of the last two and half years that Saturn has been in this sign. One of the primary teachings has been to release false, self-limiting beliefs. We often don’t even know that we have them as they can be hidden deep in our psyche.  Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, is now in Scorpio which takes us deep into ourselves and allows us to reflect and bring to consciousness those false beliefs.

We have been conditioned and imprinted by our culture and our religion to falsely believe that we are sinners and not worthy of love, when in fact we are powerful beings of love ourselves. Our most important sacred task is to remember that and to love ourselves. When we love ourselves we can believe that we deserve all the goodness of life.  This New Moon conjunct the Galactic Center helps us throw off all of the old conditioning and remember the truth of who we really are.

For us to create a new vision for the future it is essential that we believe in ourselves. Remember that half of doing anything is believing that we can! They say beliefs are thoughts that are thought over and over again until they become part of our belief system and now is a time for casting off any self-limiting beliefs. I know that I have a belief that I cannot understand technology. I am releasing old self-limiting beliefs that I cannot do it. My intention for this year is to dive headlong into technology and learn what I need to know as my business really does require it. I know I can do it. And as Noam Chomsky says, ““Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because unless you believe that the future can be better, you are unlikely to step up and take responsibility for making it so.”

Ever since Jupiter entered Scorpio in October 2017, the veil has been lifted on taboo and secret sexual behaviors of the rich and powerful. What we once believed we could do nothing about has been challenged by some very courageous women and men in the #MeToo movement and the role of African American women in the defeat of Roy Moore in Alabama.

Another aspect that I feel is activating these movements is the conjunction of Uranus and the dwarf planet, Eris. Eris was known as the Goddess of Discord but in truth She is really the archetype of the feminine warrior. She has not had a place at the table for the last five thousand years and now has been reawakened by Uranus in Aries. She wants to be heard! The asteroid, Athena, has joined these two for the last 2 months. Athena is the Greek Goddess of Wisdom as well as a warrior Goddess who knows how to use strategy and win without war. It seems as though She is telling us we need to have a good strategy for this battle and that She is here to help us. To succeed we need to be smart as well as brave. The feminine warrior has awakened and she now demands a seat at the table.

Saturn moves into Capricorn, its own sign, on Dec 19th and will remain there for two and half years. The energy of the Pluto/Uranus square continues, breaking down of the structures in our world and creating chaos. With Saturn moving into Capricorn we are being advised to start organizing some of that chaos into order and in a way that aligns with integrity, truth and respect for each other.  Saturn in Capricorn asks for maturity, responsibility, and self-discipline and with these come great rewards such as a sense of accomplishment, pride, and satisfaction.

In this darkest time of the year open to the Cosmic love from the Galactic Center that is flowing into our hearts and allow it to expand our consciousness. The energies coming to Earth now are so powerful that everything is not love is being pushed to the surface for healing. Allow those feelings to rise up but do not name them, just allow them come through you to be released. As you do this your own light will shine brighter. Shine it into the darkness and aim your arrows of light, truth and integrity into the center of this world. Our lights together will pierce the darkness and create a new world based on love, compassion and respect for all beings. Aho! It is so!

“Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world. All things break. And all things can be mended. Not with time, as they say but with intention. So go. Love unconditionally, extravagantly unconditionally. The broken world waits in darkness for the light that is you.” L.R. Knost
